Hockey has always been a passion.
My name is David O'Connor, and I am the young writer behind this website. For the past three seasons I have spent time working in the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League as an operations assistant with two different organizations in the upper class of the league. Nights have been spent analyzing, evaluating, and forecasting numerous hours of the game.
This season, I have chosen to step away from the club operations side of the sport to focus on education and other parts of life. Through this site, I seek to continue to display my commitment to the game and all those involved with it.
It should be noted that my words on players and teams are not to be considered scouting reports. The term "scouting" implies live viewings; being a university student who makes very good use of his local city bus system, those viewings are not always realistic at this point in time. Consider my player comments as evaluations; they are thoughts put together from a combination of live midget and junior viewings, and a collection of live and video observations from major junior.
It's also worth pointing out that if players have been in any way associated with myself, my communities, or teams I have worked with, they will not be commented on here.
I sincerely hope you enjoy my thoughts on where this great game is headed.
Cheers.
